The Queens Zoo is an 18-acre park zoo located within the Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in the New York City Borough of Queens. It is part of the partnership between the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation and the Wildlife Conservation Society integrating a system of 4 zoos and 1 aquarium. The Queens Zoo is the home of more than 75 different animal species native to the American Continent, including Pumas, Bald Eagles, American Bison, Bobwhite Quail, Canadian Lynx, Texas Longhorn, Pronghorn, Cattle Egret, and the Southern Pudu among others. Additionally, the Queens Zoo is also home to the rare Andean Bear.
