It has a population of nearly 60.000, with a predominantly Black demographic, although, the neighborhood remains as one of the most culturally-diverse communities in all of Queens.
Single-family houses are the most common housing stock available in Far Rockaway, but, there are a few mid-rise buildings here and there, offering a typical NYC lifestyle to its residents. With the quiet suburban atmosphere of Far Rockaway comes the quiet lifestyle of a quaint little town, which means there are very few businesses available, residents wanting to fulfill their commercial needs will have to travel outside of town.
