Lattingtown Long Island, NY Private Investigator and Process Server
Lattingtown, officially named as The Incorporated Village of Lattingtown, is one of the towns that are part of the Nassau County area, located more precisely within the city of Oyster Bay which in turn belongs to the Long Island district in the city of New York of the United States of America. In 2010 the population of Lattingtown was made up of some 1,739 people residing in the area at that time, according to data that were recorded accurately during the national census conducted that same year. Previously, a Lenape band, known as Matinecock, which comprises a name associated with the place, occupied this swamp area along the coast.
The number 11560 is assigned to be used as the main code to serve the postal service of the village. In 1660, Richard Latting and Josiah Latting, his son, bought the area from Matinecock. The Lattings lived at home with a thatched roof for which they sold to residents of neighboring areas, swamp reeds for use in them. Years later, this same family initially established and raised the village of Lattingtown in Marlborough located within Ulster County just in the northern part of the Manhattan district in New York City.
The town of Lattingtown covers an area of about 3.8 square miles or a total area of 9.8 km2, according to data provided by the United States Census Bureau. This area, despite hiding a restless spirit with a history of change, stands out for having a naturally beautiful and very peaceful environment. In the village of Lattingtown, in 1986, the movie The Money Pit was partially filmed.
