Midland Beach is an area that extends along the entire central coast of the east wing of New York City’s Staten Island Township. Its inhabitants refer to the neighborhood usually as East Shore or Mid-Island, and previously its official name was Woodland Beach. It is located southwest of Dogan Hills and South Beach, east of Richmond Parkway and High Rock Park, north of New Drop and New Drop Beach, and west of Lower Bay.

The best way to tour the neighborhood is through its main street, the Hylan Blvd, which passes through different restaurants and parks in the area.In addition to its beautiful beach on the Lower Bay coastline, Midland Beach has more recreational spaces for all families in the community.
Beautiful green areas with different parks like Gen. Douglas MacArthur Park, Midland Field, and the Dongan Playground, which include basketball, baseball, handball, football, soccer, outdoor swimming pools, spray showers and much more. Its largest park and located in downtown Midland Beach, the Last Chance Pond Park, is in improvement construction since 2018 by the Department of Design and Construction, most parts of the park are closed to the public by stormwater management and detention ponds. The improvements are scheduled to be completed in 2021, due to the extent of this green area.
