Morris Park is known throughout the Bronx for having one of the strongest sense of community of all neighborhoods in New York City.
The housing market in Morris Park is highly diverse, offering a true NYC lifestyle, from detached rowhouses to low-rise apartment buildings. The neighborhood is close to three of the best green spaces in all the Bronx, Pelham Bay Park, the New York Botanical Garden, and the world-famous Bronx Zoo. The town was named after the self-proclaimed “Loterry King” a local businessman, and a key figure in the sport of horse racing, John Albert Morris. It has a population of approximately 10.300 it has a predominantly Hispanic and Latino demographic. Although Morris Park is a little more secluded than most Bronx neighborhoods, public transportation isn’t much a problem, commuters are serviced by six bus lines operated by the MTA Regional Bus, and by the 5 train if the NYC Subway systems with two stations, one at Morris Park, and the other at Pelham Parkway.
