Ramblersville Queens, NY Private Investigator and Process Server
Ramblersville is an established section within Howard Beach, a small neighborhood that occupies about 12 blocks between JFK airport and Hawtree Creek. In fact, in terms of real estate, it is considered one of the smallest in New York City. The neighborhood’s terrain is about 300 m on each side, and it lacks a remarkable rectangular grid of streets in the adjacent communities.
It is bordered on the north by 160th Avenue, on the west by Hawtree Creek, where Old Howard Beach is located, on the east by the New York City Metro Rockaway Line, a train that goes beyond Bergen Basin and the airport, and on the south by 102nd Street Creek.
102nd Street reaches Hamilton Beach on Russell Street across the creek and practically surrounded by waterways leading to nearby Jamaica Bay.
When New York City first unified, Ramblersville was formerly considered an independent section of the city. It later became known as Howard Beach and is supposedly the oldest neighborhood.
In 1962, the city did a job replacing water pipes. At that time, about 130 families lived in the neighborhood.
In summer, the population was about a thousand people, while in winter only a few. All the houses of the time were built on piles, according to an article in The Washington Post, which was published in 1905.
The most important economic activity was fishing, a large industry in the small neighborhood. Ramblersville is known for being a cozy fishing village surrounded by grass and many swampy fields.
