Babylon Long Island, NY Private Investigator and Process Server

Babylon is one of the ten cities that are part of Suffolk County located in the Long Island District in the New York City of the United States of America. According to a census conducted in 2014, it registered about 214,191 inhabitants, making up the population of the city. In the southernmost part of the city, there are also parts of Fire Island, Captree Island, and Jones Beach Island. The location of the town of Babylon, based on its westernmost point, is approximately 30 miles from the commercial municipality of Manhattan, and about 20 miles from the Queens border in New York City. Its southern limit is the Atlantic Ocean and its northern boundary is Nassau County.

Originally, the city was once known by the name of South Huntington. Around 1803 Sheriff Nathaniel Conklin moved with his family to this area of the county and finally named it in honor of the ancient city of Babylon, calling it New Babylon. Due to a partition of the city of Huntington, the city officially formed in 1872. Within Babylon, there is also a village that bears the same name.

The village of Babylon is made up of approximately 12,166 people populating the area, according to data provided by the 2010 census. To distinguish it from the city of Babylon of which it is a part, it is more popularly known as Babylon Village, but The Incorporated Village of Babylon is its official name. Currently, it characterized by being a community of suburban dormitories, and despite being a small part of the city, it has managed to have an important business district.
