The 44th Precinct of the NYPD covers the area. Its border boundaries are as follows: The Harlem and Highbridge rivers are to the east of the neighborhood, Melrose, Claremont Village, and Morrisania to the west, Mott Haven to the north and Mount Eden to the south.
This is a neighborhood subdivided into three sections known as the Concourse Village, East Concourse, and West Concourse. The Bronx Art Museum, Bronx County Courthouse, and Yankee Stadium also located within the Concourse. It has subway stations to facilitate the transfer of its residents, such as the IRT Jerome Avenue Line which consists of 4 trains whose route goes along River Avenue, and the IND Concourse Line which is the local metro that has trains B and D making a route along the Grand Concourse.
The avenues and streets of Concourse are mostly residential areas, except for Morris Avenue. However, you can also see retailers on the streets. Other large retail outlets are located at Concourse Plaza between 61st Street and its adjacent blocks, while smaller businesses established at 167th Street and 165th Street. In the section along the river, the neighborhood becomes a more industrial space, except for the Bronx Terminal Market part and the park area.
