East Village Manhattan, NY Private Investigator and Process Server

East Village is a modest neighborhood that is part of New York City, more specifically within the Manhattan district. Its boundaries roughly defined to the north between 14th Street, south on Houston Street, and east of Third Avenue and the Bowery neighborhood.  At that time, the area was considered to be established within the perimeter of the Lower East Side, consisting of a large Ukrainian, Russian and Jewish population. Over the years, however, the neighborhood changed and many students, Beat poets, hippies, bohemian artists, avant-garde filmmakers, and musicians began moving into the community in the late 1960s, attracted by the base of the Beatniks who had lived in the area since the 1950s and its fairly affordable rental prices.

East Village is considered a center of the counterculture in the state of New York, which has also become and recognized as the historic home and birthplace of many artistic movements including the Nuyorican literary movement and American punk rock. Besides, many argue that the neighborhood has been changing character through gentrification since at least the 2000s. East Village is a member of Manhattan Community District 3 and the 9th Precinct of the New York City Police Department is responsible for patrolling the area. The numbers 10009 and 10003 are those assigned for its zip code.

Residents and visitors can also experience and enjoy the neighborhood’s nightlife and vibrant dining options. In the streets of the community, there are several blues clubs, indie-rock, folk, and even some comedy clubs as well. Besides, there are luxury restaurants and other luxury places to drink cocktails for all budgets and tastes of the population.
