Holliswood Queens, NY Private Investigator and Process Server
Holliswood is a sub-section of the New York City borough of Queens’ Hollis neighborhood. It was previously known as Terrace Heights. This upper-middle-class community is bounded by Hillside Avenue, Frances Lewis Boulevard, and the Grand Central Parkway. Unlike Hollis, Holliswood belongs to the Queens Community Board 8 along with Kew Gardens Hills, Briarwood, Utopia, Hillcrest, and Jamaica Estates. ZIP codes are 11423 and 11412. The community is patrolled by the officers of the 103rd Precinct of the New York City Police Department.
Holliswood is one of the most exclusive sub-neighborhoods in Hollis, with the highest income per resident. It was a planned community, designed to provide its inhabitants with a suburban atmosphere, an escape from the busy and noisy lifestyle of New York City. Like Jamaica Estates and Hollis Hills, there are tree-lined streets and detached homes with plenty of landscaping. On the opposite side of the Grand Central Parkway lies Cunningham Park, the closest 358-acres public park, with several recreational areas, dog run, and biking trails. The family home of former New York Governor, Mario Cuomo is located in Radnor Road, east of 188th Street. Holliswood has a population of approximately 8000, and unlike the rest of Hollis, it has a predominantly white demographic.
Although most residents own their own vehicles, public transportation isn’t an issue for the residents of Holliswood, nearby Hollis station grants direct access to the Long Island Railroad, and Jamaica Center/Archer allows commuters to gain access to the NYC Subway system. Additionally, 11 bus lines serve the neighborhood.
