Silver Lake Staten Island, NY Private Investigator and Process Server
Situated along the North Shore of the New York City borough of Staten Island sits the small residential neighborhood and the natural reservoir of Silver Lake. Although most of the area is covered by the Silver Lake Park and its adjacent Lake of the same name, there is a quaint and picturesque small residential area. The neighborhood is bounded by Tompkinsville, Stapleton, Clifton, Grymes Hill, Clove Road, West Brighton, Forest Avenue, and Van Duzer Street, originally known as Fresh Pond until the 1860s when the community was renamed after the natural spring and lake within the community, Silver Lake, which in turn was named after Mark Silver a famous philanthropist who founded the Hebrew Free Burial Association.
Silver Lake belongs to the Staten Island Community Board 1 along with the neighboring communities of Elm Park, Westerleigh, Port Ivory, Livingston, Fort Wadsworth, Grymes Hill, Meiers Corners, Stapleton, Rosebank, Clifton Concord, Tompkinsville, Graniteville, and Castleton Corners, and its ZIP code is 10301. The streets of Silver Lake are patrolled by the capable police force of the 120th Precinct of the New York City Police Department. It has a population of approximately 8.000 with a predominantly White demographic, although, in recent years, there has been an influx of Hispanic and Latino residents moving into the neighborhood, and there is also a longstanding and growing African-American community. Silver Lake has no shortage of interesting places such as tennis courts, a public golf course, a running track, a dog run, a baseball field, and a playground.
