Claremont Bronx, NY Private Investigator and Process Server

Claremont is a neighborhood that is part of the Bronx district in New York City. It is bordered to the north by Interstate 95 and above by the MT Hope and West Bronx neighborhoods, to the northwest by Morris Heights, to the south by Morrisania, to the east by the well-known Crotona Park and the west by Mt Eden. The main communication route is Webster Avenue which crosses the neighborhood from end to end in a south to north direction and continues to the Fordham bus station meeting the E Fordham Rd.

Claremont may not be the most attractive neighborhood in New York City but it is a working-class community comprised primarily of residential housing. In the Claremont Parkway-Franklin Avenue Area, there is a low-income housing project consisting of 3 buildings of 7 floors each. There are not many places to shop and not many food outlets, but you can find several dollar stores and warehouses on the streets of the neighborhood. Claremont is also home to the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, and within walking distance to the NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln Hospital located in Melrose.

On April 30, 1973, the only local station in the neighborhood burned to the ground in a major fire. Claremont Parkway Station had two side platforms and three lanes on the IRT Third Avenue Line. In this neighborhood is established The Claremont Park, much appreciated and enjoyed for its farmland, swamps, prairie landscapes, and forests. Over the years improvements have been made to facilitate recreational activities and make the park more accessible by adding new trails, swings, tennis, and baseball facilities and even an outdoor swimming pool.
