Crotona Park East Bronx, NY Private Investigator and Process Server

Crotona Park East is a mostly residential neighborhood that is also known by the names of East Morrisania or Crotona. It is part of the Bronx district of the state of New York, geographically located to the southwest of the municipality, occupying a considerable portion of the territory of the southern section of the Bronx. Starting from the north, this neighborhood borders the Cross-Bronx Expressway, continuing east along the Bronx River, followed by East 167th Street as the southern border and ending with Crotona/Prospect Avenues as its western boundary.

The neighborhood’s main avenue is called Southern Boulevard, which runs through the entire area along Crotona Park East. This community is adjacent to the nearby park known as Crotona Park, but they are different. This neighborhood is a member of the Bronx Community Board 3, and postal services are accessed using numbers 10460 and 10459 as codes. In the Melrose section of the Bronx, P.S.A. 7 at 737 Melrose Avenue is responsible for covering and patrolling the area where NYCHA property located.

The Morris family owned the lands of the neighborhood from 1670 in Westchester County. Many other low-income areas and communities in New York City, including Crotona Park East, were victims of devastating wildfires in the 1970s. Crotona Park East is composed mainly of African Americans and Latin Americans. In this low-income neighborhood, almost 100% of the area’s housing is tenant-occupied. A large portion of the neighborhood’s residents lives below the poverty line. The neighborhood’s lot occupies less than a square mile where contiguous multi-unit homes and several housing projects predominate.
