DUMBO Brooklyn, NY Private Investigator and Process Server

Dumbo is the abbreviation for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, part of the Brooklyn Township in New York City. The area of this neighborhood was formerly known as Gairville. It encompasses two sections, one that continues east from the Manhattan Bridge to the Vinegar Hill area and another located between the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges, which connect Brooklyn to Manhattan through the East River. The DUMBO neighborhood located north of Brooklyn Heights, south of Brooklyn Bridge Park, east of Brooklyn Bridge and west of Vinegar Hill.

The community of Dumbo is a member of the Brooklyn 2 Community Board. It attributed to the primary zip code, number 11201, and the population comprised of approximately 1,139 residents. In the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, the area was characterized by its warehouse buildings and industrial buildings, originally a ferry landing at that time. It also stood out for its location in the imposing anchorage of the Manhattan Bridge and the East River with its Belgian block streets. At the end of the 20th century, Two Trees Management and its developer David Walentas purchased the entire Dumbo area.

First becoming a haven for art galleries, it became a high-end commercial and residential community, which today is considered a technology creation center. It is nicknamed the “Brooklyn Tech Triangle Center” by the large community of technology startups. Due to its proximity to Manhattan and its large concentration of new technologies, Dumbo’s neighborhood has become the fourth richest community in New York City and the most expensive neighborhood in the Brooklyn district.
