Edgewater Park Bronx, NY Private Investigator and Process Server
Edgewater Park is a small section of the Bronx Township of New York City. It has only 60 acres of territory, which is dominated by more than 600 single-family homes. It is an area that borders a lot of water, as it is surrounded by the east river, Long Island Sound and the port Eastchester.
Land rights mainly belonged to an Irish immigrant who rented the area in the mid-1800s. He created Camp Edgewater at that time, a religious camp to encourage young people to join St. Anne’s Episcopal Church where he gathered. These camps evolved over the years to the point in the early 1900s where they became bungalows along the edge of Edgewater Park, retaining some of their farming areas. The dirt roads evolved as well, becoming the neighborhood’s highways. Around 1920 the section was divided into three small zones without names, and later two more zones were added, identified with letters A, B, C, and D. After the death of the founder, in 1954, the camp was already a recognized community, with residents, finally adopting its name Edgewater Park.
The culture in Edgewater Park is well celebrated with different events throughout the year; before Thanksgiving, they celebrate a Ragamuffin parade to welcome the holiday, for over 100 years they have celebrated the Labor Day Olympics, and on Memorial Day there is an honor parade by the Volunteer Fire Department. The Throgs Neck Bridge runs through much of the area, extending to connect it and provide gateways to other Bronx neighborhoods. The Edgewater Park Postal Service serves under zip code 10465.
