Great Neck Plaza is one of the towns that form part of the city of North Hempstead which in turn belongs to the county of Nassau in the district of Long Island in the city of New York of the United States of America. According to data calculated and recorded in the 2010 national census, the population of this town composed of 6,707 people residing in the area at that time. The village of Great Neck Plaza located on the Great Neck Peninsula on the north coast of the island.

The town encompasses a total land area of about 0.3 square miles or 0.78 km2 in total according to data provided by the U.S. Census Bureau.

The official date on which The Village of Great Neck incorporated is May 3, 1930, even as the station that led to its existence was being reconstructed. In 1866, the town transformed into an agricultural community to a suburban city after through a subsidiary called North Shore Railroad, the Flushing Railroad and the New York Railroad extended mainline to Great Neck.

The Great Neck Plaza community has not only the train station but also historic structures, such as the Thomaston and Grace buildings, and the local post office. It characterized by a busy commercial district including two parks, but also offers a residential section consisting of private houses, many multiple dwellings, approximately 148 single-family houses, and 90 multi-family apartment buildings, as well as a home for the elderly, an assisted living center, 2 four-star hotels and about 40 office buildings.
