College Point Queens, NY Private Investigator and Process Server

College Point is a neighborhood in Queens, one of the five boroughs of New York City. It is a hard-working middle-class community, bordered by the Whitestone Expressway, Flushing, and the East River. Even though it has some Industrial areas, College Point remains a mostly residential neighborhood, with a culturally diverse population of nearly 25.000. ZIP code is 11356, and the officers from the 109th Police Precinct of the NYPD are in charge of patrolling the area. Together with Queensboro Hill, Flushing, Malba, Beechhurst, and Linden Hill, make up the Queens Community Board 7.

The name and history of the town date back to 1835 when Reverend William Augustus Muhlenberg founded the seminary St. Paul’s College. Even after the college closed sometime during the 1850s, the name remained. Since then, College Point has gone through several changes and redevelopments. There are two waterfront parks offering a wide array of recreational activities. Macneil Park or Chisholm Park, with multiple courts for different team sports, and a playground, and Powell’s Cove Park, with an enchanting marshland environment.

Unlike other neighborhoods in Queens, moving to College Point does not necessarily mean people will lose contact with the so-called “City Life,” there is plenty of the New York City magic running around College Point. There are two commercial hubs in town, one over at College Point Avenue, and the other one over at 14th Street, most errands can be done within the town, without crossing over to Flushing. There are multiple public transportation options to make into the city, none of which offer a direct route into the city, making the commute a bit longer.
