Hicksville Long Island, NY Private Investigator and Process Server
Hicksville in addition to being a village is a place designated by the Census (CDP) that is established within the city of Oyster Bay forming in turn part of Nassau County which belongs to the Long Island district of the new city in the United States of America. According to data provided by the 2010 national census record, the CDC population was about 41,547 people living in the village at that time. It attributed to the number 11801 as its primary code to be used in the area’s postal service.
The PDC area covers an area of about 6.8 square miles or 18 km2 of total area, of which 0.15% is water and the rest of the proportions are lands, according to data recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau. The son-in-law of the eventual president of the Long Island Rail Road, and also a Quaker preacher and abolitionist Elijah Hicks, named Valentine Hicks in 1834 bought a tract of land in the town and 1837 turned it into a stop at the LIRR.
For a plant of the company Heinz, this station eventually became a warehouse for products especially cucumbers. Farmers were then forced to grow potatoes on land after a plague destroyed all the cucumber crops. Years later, after World War II, the booming Hicksville area became a bustling suburb of New York City. Nassau County Police 2nd and 8th Districts, as well as the MTA Police, provide police protection to the village, just as the Hicksville Fire Department provides fire protection.
