Geographically positioned in the north-central section of the New York City borough of the Bronx sits Williamsbridge, a middle-class residential neighborhood bounded by the Bronx River, East 222nd Street, Gun Hill Road, and Boston Road. The town’s main roadway is White Plains Road, which is also the primary commercial spot, lined with local stores, small restaurants, and bars, the residents can satisfy most of their shopping needs without having to leave the neighborhood. Williamsbridge together with Woodlawn, Edenwald, Baychester, Wakefield, Olinville, Fish Bay, and Eastchester belong to the Bronx Community Board 12, and its ZIP codes are 10469, 10467, and 10466, the community is served and protected by the capable officers at the 47th Precinct of the New York City Police Department.

Williamsbridge has a population of nearly 61.000. Historically, the neighborhood has been an enclave of Jewish and Italian-American immigrants. However, during the 70s there was an influx of African-American residents, making it the predominant demographic, and sometime during the 80s Hispanic and Latino immigrants began to move to Williamsbridge. Public transportation is not a problem for the residents of this colorful neighborhood. Morning commuters have access to the New York City Subway System through the Gun Hill Road Station and the 219th Street Station. Additionally, the MTA Regional Bus Operations has seven bus routes to and from Williamsbridge, including an express bus route directly to Midtown Manhattan. Williamsbridge is also home to the famous Seventh Draft District World War Monument situated between East 219th Street and the Bronx Boulevard.
